HOLLY HUNTER - Margaret Barnell

Academy Award winner Holly Hunter is one of the most intriguing and critically acclaimed actresses of our time. With every role, she continues to demonstrate her range and versatility.

Hunter recently starred in Marina Carr's "By The Bog of Cats" in London. Directed by Dominic Cooke, Hunter played "Hester Swane" an Irish traveler with a deep and unearthly connection to her land who is tormented by the memory of a mother who deserted her. In the fall of 2001, Hunter starred in the American premiere of the play at the San Jose Repertory Theatre in California.

In 2004, Hunter lent her voice to Buena Vista's animated film "The Incredibles." The story follows the adventures of a dysfunctional family of high-profile superheroes who are trying to live a quiet life in the suburbs after having been placed there by the Witness Protection Program. "The Incredibles" paired Hunter up with some other powerful voices in Hollywood including those of Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Lee and Craig T. Nelson. Also this year, Hunter starred opposite Brittany Murphy in the dark romantic comedy "Little Black Book," produced by Revolution Studios

This summer, Hunter also completed production on Rodrigo Garcia's independent drama, "Nine Lives." The story is a series of vignettes which offer glimpses into the lives of nine women. Hunter stars alongside Kathy Baker, Amy Brenneman, Glenn Close, Sissy Spacek and Robin Wright Penn.
